Onjona Hossain – Editor-in-Chief 

Onjona is a junior double majoring in Biological Sciences and Philosophy with premed concentrations. Onjona is also an active member of International Samaritan, MAPS, and FUEMS. Between classes, Onjona spends most of her time doing research on pediatric obesity, working in Walsh Library, and advocating for women’s reproductive rights in her local community. Her favorite ways to de-stress are painting and playing basketball.

Jack Franke – Managing Editor

Jack is a junior psychology major from Kansas City, Missouri, who hopes to pursue medicine after college. He is presently involved in health psychology research and enjoys banjo music.

Yianni Flouskakos – Peer Review Editor

Yianni is a junior majoring in Integrative Neuroscience. He has conducted independent original research on the behavioral and physiological effects of sugar on the brain and presented his findings at competitions at the regional, state, and national levels, coming in first place in his category at the New York State Science and Engineering Fair. Yianni hopes to continue investigating the intricacies of the brain and its role in human behavior.

Olivia Del Vecchio – Peer Review Editor

Olivia is a junior, double majoring in Art History and Economics. She loves Surrealist art, reading science fiction and fantasy novels, and drinking tea.

Joshua Anthony – Peer Review Editor

Josh Anthony is a senior double-majoring in History and Classic Civilizations and minoring in Latin American/Latino Studies. Josh is from Miami, Florida, and his research focuses on indigenous intellectual history and the influence of humanism in colonial Mexico.

Teddy Schoneman – Copy Editor

Teddy is a Junior from Vienna, Va. He is majoring in economics and minoring in Philosophy. He is active in the Fordham Political Review and spent this past summer carrying out an independent research project at Fordham College.

Liz Carr – News & Features Editor

Liz is a senior double majoring in Communication & Culture and International Political Economy. Aside from FURJ, Liz is an active member in Fordham’s Global Outreach service and immersion program, where she has served as a member on both domestic and international teams. She is passionate about sustainable development and loves writing, music and dogs.

Sienna Park – Business Manager

Sienna is a senior majoring in Film and Television, with double minors in Communications & Culture and Mandarin Chinese. Sienna also serves as the Vice President of Lincoln Center at Fordham’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta.

Salma Youssef – Business Manager

Salma is a junior at Fordham College Rose Hill majoring in Biology. She commutes on the Metro-North and is an executive member of the Commuting Students Association. Her research interests are conservation biology and immunology. Her hobbies include gardening and drawing.

Kaila Boyer – Book Review Editor

Kaila is a junior majoring in Biological Sciences on the pre-health track. She is currently conducting research on maternal prenatal exposures to chemicals in personal care products. In her spare time, Kaila enjoys reading and participating in Fordham’s Global Outreach program.

Rafael Saplala – Faculty Outreach Coordinator

Rafael is a Junior on the Pre-Law Track pursuing a major in American Studies and a minor in Economics. He is excited to be with the Fordham Undergraduate Research Journal for a second year. Alongside his commitments to FURJ, he serves as the President for the Fordham Mock Trial Team and the live-in Tutor for the Manresa Scholars Program.

Hailey Morey – Design Editor

Hailey is a senior hailing from the lovely state of California double-majoring in Journalism and Visual Arts.She is currently working on her visual arts thesis, and would love to talk to you about the color blue. She is also a reporter with WFUV.
